Dr. Gholamreza Rouhi received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanics, respectively, both from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He pursued his career in Iran as a research Engineer, also as a lecturer where he has authored three books on physics prior to go to Canada for doing his doctoral studies. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, major in Biomechanics, from the University of Calgary for his investigations on bone remodelling and resorption theories using continuum mechanics and mixture theories. After earning his Ph.D., he started his previous career as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa in July 2006, where he was cross-appointed to the School of Human Kinetics. Dr. Rouhi is actively involved in various research projects including: bone remodelling theories; bone-implant interactions and stress shielding; nano-biomechanics; knee biomechanics; biomechanics of growth; and biomechanics of femoro-acetabular impingement.

Dr. Rouhi is also an adjunct Professor with the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, ON, Canada (July 1st 2011 till June 30th 2014)
